How To Be A Healer

Header Window To The Soul

Becoming a healer is a very individual and personal process.

There are no set rules on how that should happen...after all, everyone's life is unique.

Healership grows from the inside - and after a decade of being one, I can confidently say that one of the most crucial and important steps to take is to first begin from the inside and work your way out.

In other words, before learning any kind of technique, routine, or healing modality, you have to first examine yourself and acknowledge, understand, and develop who you are.

We must first start from the very root of our being and make our way up through the trunk and branches of our physical, spiritual, and emotional bodies. This is the path of the Healer.

Of course, there are a lot of technical materials to study, techniques to master, and people to heal...

...all of which can be learned, developed, and practiced with guidance

But sooner or later, you will begin to walk your own path without guidance. It is at this point that we must be comfortable with who we are and the uncertainty of where we are going.

This is what Reiki has taught me - to be comfortable with uncertainty, we must first confront and examine our inner being.

It is from the inside that we allow our Chakras, Aura, and true selves to be open and receptive to the positive energy all around and within us.

Without this knowledge, we may never fully live up to our potential.

I've been down this road before...and it does not turn out well.

Luckily for me, I found Reiki - and so did you.

To build confidence in your practice, faith, or self, takes a lot of hard work. However, there is an easier way.

In this post, I'm going to share some of the most common larger metaphysical questions that all Healers will try to tackle at some point in their journey. With these questions, I will propose some answers that may appeal to some of you...and some, not so much.

Open Doors

The point is not to determine whether there is a right or wrong. After all, there are certainly more efficient, effective, and economic ways of answering questions.

However, when looking at the following topics, ask yourself how comfortable or uncomfortable you feel with these concepts. They may help you carve your own path...

Your response will be extremely telling.

Note: there is no wrong answer to these thoughts.

Dedication

To become a healer means dedication. Not to any specific spiritual practice, religion, or set of rigid rules, but dedication to your particular path of truth and love.

This means that your practice of that truth and love will probably change as you travel through your life. That's okay.

There are many roads to 'Heaven,' or to 'Paradise'...and if we were to search throughout the history of the human being, we would find many who have traveled before us in search of these higher planes.

What's important to remember is that many of those particular ways may or may not be of use to us.

However, none of that matters when you consider how our individual souls are so different from one another.

In other words, what works for me may not work for you.

Of course, there are certain patterns that pop up from time to time...but largely, the decision (and follow through) to become a healer rests on your shoulders.

However much effort you put in is exactly how much you'll get out of it.

This is what many call, "The Process."

Dedication

It is the toughest, most enduring thing that Healers have to deal with.

There's no telling how long or how arduous one's path may take or be...

I've had students who have studied for 3 months and are masters - I've had other students who have been training for years and years and only begun to scratch the surface.

This is not meant to discourage or disparage you from continuing your path - in fact, it is meant to create more resolve in you.

Remember that becoming a Healer is not a race to see who finishes first.

Just like flowers, each and every person requires a different amount of attention, instruction, and practice in order to blossom.

Each and every healing session may provide a template for success...

You may even become widely known and travel the world as a Healer teaching others...

But you have to remember that we are never 'there'. Our dedication doesn't stop once we reach a certain level of fame, technique, or prowess.

Our dedication will always manifest itself as 'The Process' and will always be there beside us, like a shadow.

Dedication is the keystone to becoming a great Healer - it solidifies your internal resolve and strengthens your connection to Universal Energy and the other planes of existence.

Without this, you may never become the Healer that you want to be.

Fortunately, dedication exists as the accumulated effect of the multiple decisions that we choose to take.

If that jargon sounded a bit weird, understand this - only through demonstrated practice can we manifest this dedication.

Next, we'll cover the more negative aspect of becoming a Healer that pops up from time to time...

Fear

As soon as you decided to dedicate yourself to your true path and make that the central priority of your life, you become aware of an overall process taking place in your life.

This life process carries you through inner landscapes, horizons, and realms that change the nature of your personal reality.

You begin to see cause and effect relationships between your inner personal reality and the "outer" world.

It may seem as though you have transcended or ascended to a higher state...

...but like many others who suffer a fear from heights, this may cause you worry, anxiety, and stress.

It is fairly common for many Healers and Reiki practitioners to face variants of these symptoms as a manifestation of fear.

Fear

You'll likely question yourself, doubt what you do, and even contemplate quitting at some points...

However, remember that you dedicated yourself to your true path and that you can not give up your right to live life on your own terms.

If you do...you'll never reach your full potential, no matter how hard you try.

Fortunately for me, I was guided by Masters who took me through a step-by-step process to help me learn Reiki and spiritual healing.

As I spent that time developing, learning, and cultivating my technique, I began to question myself with certain thoughts like:

  • Am I good or worthy enough to heal others?
  • What if others don't like what I do?
  • What if I never find my true path or calling?
  • How can I heal more people?
  • Am I missing anything?

Chances are that you'll ask yourself some variant of the same question during your journey.

You may even feel as though you're being tested by one of your spirit guides or a higher being...

...and trust me when I say that all of this is completely normal.

It is normal to feel these feelings of fear and doubt - after all, we are only human.

However, the more important thing to remember is that we can heal ourselves from this kind of pain...

...and that even if it may sting from time to time, we can learn to live with it as a shadow to our being.

This process may take some time to uncover...

...for me, when I look back, it took me years and years to understand this.

But now that I've been doing this for over a decade, I want to give it all to you.

If you're interested in starting your journey into becoming a Reiki Master like me...you can check out the Reiki Home Course here. The Balance

It seems certain that the level of fear rises with one's dedication to Reiki and the art of healing.

Once you progress and become more advanced, you start to fear that you will lose what you have gained.

Ironically, with my students and many others, this only happens after a long period of training and study, which means one thing...

...your dedication prevents your fear from ever occuring in the first place!

Zen & Balance

So even though we may grapple with our individual fears and be afraid of uncertainty...

It is through our diligence, patience, and hard work that we become better Healers and ultimately come closer to the reason(s) why we started healing in the first place.

Some may feel as if they have a higher calling...

Some may have been through a traumatic experience and need a way to become wholesome again...

Some may even have experience in other forms of healing and want to explore different modalities to healing.

Whatever your motivations or desires are, remember that your dedication and fear are a direct result of the effort you are putting in.

And if you're ready to become a dedicated Healer and confront these fears...enroll in my Reiki Home Course today! You can study on your own time, at your own pace, at your own schedule. Inside, you'll learn the ways of a Reiki Master...and become certified to heal others using Reiki.
