How I Attracted Wealth Using Feng Shui... And How You Can Too

Decorate with Mindfulness

In Feng Shui, it’s important to reduce the clutter in your home. That’s always the first step. You must first remove the negative energy so that there is space for the positive to come in. 

And once you’ve created space, you also have to be mindful of the new energy that you are bringing in… 

Feng Shui adjustments will not work if you don’t like the changes you are making. Your negative energy will push out any positive.

Any item that you choose to bring into your home must have a personal energy connection with you. Don’t just add something because you read it here. Only choose the concepts and ideas that really resonate with you. 

If you just bring in items that you don’t feel connected to, then you are simply adding more clutter to your home which will then block any wealth energy from entering. 

No matter what you’re hoping to cultivate, one of the central principles of Feng Shui is to have open, clutter-free space for energy to flow. Having open space allows fresh energy to come in and helps to move stale energy out. 

With stale energy gone, you can start to consider which wealth elements you want to include. 

Wealth Elements

Of the five elements that Feng Shui recognizes, there are two that are most connected with wealth energy: wood and water. 

The first element that corresponds with wealth is wood. Nature, which is made up of tress and plants, is the ultimate symbol of abundance and wealth.

Bring nature into your home by incorporating wood and greenery wherever you can. Common nature symbols are lucky bamboo and money trees, but any healthy plants will work. 

The key is to always keep your plants watered. Some people opt for artificial plants as opposed to real ones because they don’t have to be tended to. 

Water is the essential symbol of wealth in Feng Shui. And an easy way to incorporate that energy into your home is by including fountains. Fountains represent the energy and abundance of water.

If you don’t have room in your home for a fountain, or if it doesn’t work for another reason, you can also opt for images of flowing water. 

There are two important rules to remember with fountains in your home. First, do not place them in your bedroom or kitchen as these locations will accumulate harmful energy. Second, make sure water is ALWAYS flowing. 

Finances mirror the state of water, meaning that a constantly flowing fountain symbolizes money constantly flowing. If there is any stagnant water in your home, remove it immediately as this represents stagnant wealth. 

Also, be sure to fix drippy faucets because they are a  symbol money going to waste. 

I especially recommend bringing some greenery into your home, because it is also one of the colors that can help attract wealth energy… 

Wealth Colors

Colors carry a lot of energy, and the shades that you choose to include in your home can affect your own energy and your wealth. 

You can be as creative as you wish with incorporating these colors. Some ideas are painting a wall, adding a decorative pillow, hanging a colorful piece of artwork, and adding colored objects.

Here are the four colors that I added to my home to help attract wealth energy: gold, purple, green, and red. 

Gold 

Gold is the main color of wealth energy. It is universally known to represent things of the highest value. 

The precious metal was the original form of currency and has always remained a symbol of wealth and prestige. 

Purple

Purple is the color of royalty. In many ancient cultures, purple dye was expensive and reserved for kings and queens who had enough wealth to purchase it. 

Today, this color still represents royalty and the wealth they needed to acquire this rich color.  

Green 

Green is the color of money and nature. While gold was the color of old money, many currencies are now a shade of green. 

It’s also symbolic of nature. I already told you how beneficial it is to bring plants into your home, but you can add anything that’s green to harness the abundant energy of the color. 

Red

Red is a color of strength and life. Many people consider it to be auspicious and powerful. One of the most common uses of red for Feng Shui is to use it on your front door. 

In Feng Shui, the front door is known as the mouth of chi, or energy. So using a strong front door color will help attract wealth chi. 

To give you more of an idea of how these can work in your life, I’ll share with you how I incorporated these beautiful colors in my home… 

I painted my front door red, added a green accent wall, and hung a beautiful purple painting framed in gold. 

I’ll also let you in on a little secret… 

Red is also the color that’s connected with your Root Chakra, which is the energy center that ties you to the physical world where wealth is attained.

Colors and elements can be interpreted in many different ways. So if you’re looking for more traditional wealth symbols, keep reading… 

Classic Wealth Cures

There are many symbols that can bring wealth and prosperity into your home. Here are a few of the classic cures, but remember to only pick the ones that resonate with you. 

Laughing Buddha

This is one of the most popular Feng Shui symbols to use in the home. It represents more than just wealth, and can also aid in bringing you luck, health, happiness, and success. 

His big belly symbolizes abundance, and he is usually seen surrounded by children, coins, or treasures. 

Money Frog

A traditional symbol of wealth, this mythological creature is often seen holding a coin in his mouth as an offering to the owner of the house. If you choose this symbol, make sure that he faces into the room because the direction of the energy follows the direction of his gaze. 

Frogs are especially tied to wealth because they are associated with water, which, as we discussed, is a very strong indicator of wealth. 

Chinese Coins

These are unique coins because they are round with a small square hole in the center. These gold coins are typically depicted with red strings tied to them, and are a more literal symbol of wealth.

Fish

Fish are closely associated with the energy of water. Fish also have the ability to reproduce in great quantities in a short amount of time. 

Wealth Ship 

A ship symbolizes energy of abundance as wind whipping through its sails, and water flowing beneath its bow. 

While these are the most traditional cures, the next ones are my personal favorite… 

Wealth Stones

Stones and crystals are also powerful sources of energy, and each different stone has a unique energy composition. There are a few crystals that are specifically beneficial for attracting wealth energy into your home. 

Citrine

This stone can be a bit expensive and often harder to find, but that’s part of the reason that it is a powerful wealth energy magnet. Citrine is unique in that it clears away negative energy as opposed to simply absorbing it. 

Citrine has a sunny disposition that can power your Solar Plexus Chakra, which controls the willpower and drive necessary to work hard and reach your financial goals. It’s also known as the ‘Wealth Stone’ because it harbors energy of growth, abundance, wealth, and prosperity. 

Pyrite

Also called “Fool’s Gold,” Pyrite is an easy way to incorporate more gold-colored elements into your home. This stone also serves a dual purpose: while it protects your home from negative energy, it also plays a role in drawing in more abundance and wealth. 

Amethyst

There are many reasons to include Amethyst in your home. It can serve as a powerful way to channel the prosperous energy that you need to increase your wealth. It’s also wonderful for purifying the energy in your home, and it is both beautiful and easy to find!

Clear Quartz

If you’re a crystal beginner, I recommend starting with Clear Quartz. It’s a multi-purpose stone that can be programmed to accomplish almost anything, including attracting more wealth and prosperity.
